Given equation

∣x−3∣=2

Here x-3 is the argument.Either this argument will be 2 or it will be -2

Hence the equations will be

⇒x−3=2..(1)

⇒x−3=−2..(2)

From eq1

⇒x=2+3

⇒x=5

From eq2

⇒x=−2+3

⇒x=1

Hence x=1,5
