$3^{2x}+4^x+1=36,\ then\ solution\ is\ x=\frac{3}{2}\\\\so\ 3^3+(2^2)^\frac{3}{2}=35$

if the question is  3^{2x}  + 4^x  - 1  = 36,  then x = 1.525  approximately.
