What is the Value of x and y which satisfying the equation x + 2y =17​

(x+2y)+(2x−3y)i+4i=5

(x+2y)+(2x−3y)i=5−4i

Comparing the real and imaginary part of both the sides we have,

x+2y=5

2x−3y=−4

2(x+2y)=5×2

2x+4y=10

±2x∓34=∓4

solving above equations we get,

+7y=14

y=2

puttinh values in first equation we have,

x+2×2=5

x+4=5

x=5−4=1

So, x=1 and y=2
