The answer is given below :

Given that,

16x = 62² - 26² .....(i)

By identity, we know that,

a² - b² = (a + b)(a - b)

Using it in RHS of (i), we get

16x = (62 + 26)(62 - 26)

=> 16x = 88 × 36

=> 4 × 4 × x = 4 × 22 × 4 × 9

=> x = 22 × 9, removing (4 × 4) from both sides

=> x = 198

Therefore, the required solution is 198.

Thank you for your question.
