Answer:

-4.5 or -18

Step-by-step explanation:

let me explain

i am unsure if your question includes of a bracket like (6-x) or not like 6-x

if question-- (6-x)/2=12

   6/2 - x/2 = 12 (opening the bracket and dividing the common 2 to both 6 and x ) so i provided answer for both

   3 - x/2 = 12

     -x/2 = 12 - 3 = 9 (tranporting 3 to RHS)

      -x = 9/2 = 4.5

        x= -4.5

if question--  6-x÷2  = 12

         6-x=12x2=24 (transporting 2 to RHS)

        -x=24 - 6 = 18

             x = -18

hope you understand it :)
