Answer :–

  • Value of x = 2.

Given :–

  • An equation: –34 + 17x = 0

To Find :–

  • Value of x.

Solution :–

Here already given an equation, –34 + 17x = 0.

So,

Turn L.H.S. number (–34) to R.H.S. (0), so after turning the numbers the negative number becomes positive and positive number becomes negative.

Here, 34 is the negative number so it will become positive.

So,

⟹ 17x = 34

And in the L.H.S. 17 is multiplied by x so after turn the number 17 into R.H.S. it will be divide by R.H.S. number (34).

So,

⟹ x =  \dfrac{\cancel{34}}{\cancel{17}}

Cut the denominator (17) and the numerator (34) by 17, we obtain

⟹ x = 2

Hence,

The value of x = 2.
