what is the value of x in the equation 1/5x-2/3y=30 when y=15

Answer :

» Put y = 15 in the given equation

= \sf{ \dfrac{1}{5x} - \dfrac{2}{3y} } = 0

= \sf{ \dfrac{1}{5x} - \dfrac{2}{3×15} } = 0

= \sf{ \dfrac{1}{5x} - \dfrac{2}{45} } = 0

= \sf{ \dfrac{1}{5x} } = \sf{  \dfrac{2}{105} }

= 45 = 10x

= 10x = 45

= x = \sf{ \dfrac{45}{10}}

= x = \sf{ \dfrac{9}{2}}

= x = 4.5

° The value of x can be 9/2 as well as 4.5 also.
