What is the value of x in the equation 2 (6 x + 4) minus 6 + 2 x = 3 (4 x + 3) + 1?

QUESTION:

2(6x + 4) - 6 + 2x = 3(4x + 3) + 1

SOLUTION:

12x + 8 - 6 + 2x = 12x + 9 + 1

2 + 2x = 10

2x = 10 - 2

2x = 8

x = 4

3rd option is correct.
