SOLUTION :

TO DETERMINE

The value of x in the expression

 \sf{} \sqrt{3025}  +  \sqrt{0.0678 - x} = 55.26

EVALUATION

 \sf{} \sqrt{3025}  +  \sqrt{0.0678 - x} = 55.26

 \implies \sf{} 55  +  \sqrt{0.0678 - x} = 55.26

 \implies \sf{}   \sqrt{0.0678 - x} = 55.26  - 55

 \implies \sf{} \sqrt{0.0678 - x} = 0.26

Squaring both sides we get

 \implies \sf{}  {0.0678 - x} = 0.0676

 \implies \sf{}  x = 0.0678 -  0.0676

 \implies \sf{}  x = 0.0002

CHECK STEP

Here

 \sf{} \sqrt{3025}  +  \sqrt{0.0678 - x} = 55.26  \:  \:  \: ....(1)

Putting x = 0.0002 in LHS of (1) we get

LHS

 \sf{} \sqrt{3025}  +  \sqrt{0.0678 - 0.0002}

 \sf{}  = \sqrt{3025}  +  \sqrt{0.0676}

 =  \sf{} 55 + 0.26

 \sf{}  = 55.26

= RHS

Hence Verified

FINAL RESULT

The value of x in the expression

 \sf{} \sqrt{3025}  +  \sqrt{0.0678 - x} = 55.26  \:  \:  is \:  \:  \: 0.0002
