velocity is displacement of a body in unit time...
i.e. velocity= displacement/ time

velocity= distance/time only when body covers equal distance in equal interval of time and in a particular direction.... i.e. straight line

velocity is a vector quantity as it has both direction and magnitude....

SI unit is m/s

hope it helps you....

answer : -

definition of velocity :-

velocity :)

the distance travelled by the wave in one second is called velocity.

it is expressed in m/s or cm/s

speed of all electromagnetic waves in vacuum is equal to 3 × 10 ^8 m/s ., it is denoted by c.since , c = 3 × 10 ^8 m/s.

relation between speed , frequency ,and wavelength.

speed = frequency × wavelength.

so , for electromagnetic waves in vacuum.

c = v × lamda or lamda = c /v

note :- lamda is si unit of wavelength.

velocity :)

it is a vector quantity they have magnitude as well as direction.
