The velocity of a small object that has separated from a rocket is also 10 km/sec because in a free space the small object that has separated from rocket also travels with the same speed as in a free space there is no gravity

Velocity of a small object that has separated from a rocket moving in free space with velocity 10km/s is

10 km/s.

◆ In free space the separated small piece from rocket also travels with t SAME VELOCITY as of rocket because, there is no EXTERNAL FORCE acting on the small piece in space.

◆According to NEWTONS FIRST LAW , Motion will continue to occur until and unless an external force acts on it.

◆Since there is no GRAVITY in space , object will continue it's path of motion.
