Solution :

We know , velocity of an object is given by :

V=\dfrac{Distance }{Time}

Putting value of distance and time in above equation .

We get , V=\dfrac{5 \ m}{5\ s}=1\ m/s

Therefore , the velocity of pulse is 1 m/s .
