Let the vertical height = h m

P.E. = 80 J

m =5 kg

g= 10m/s²

Using the formula: P.E.= mgh

h= P.E. ÷(mg)

 =80÷(5×10)

 =80÷50

h =1.6 m

Answer:

Answer is c

Explanation:

potential energy is energy stored in an object . This energy has the potential to do work . Gravity gives potential Energy to an object . This potential Energy is a result of gravity pulling downwards . The gravitational constant ,g, is the acceleration of an object due to Gravity.

This acceleration is about 10 meter per second on earth formula . The formula for potential energy due to gravity is pE= mgh.As the objects gets closer to the ground,its potential energy decrease while is kinetic energy increases.
