An electric field of 200 V/m would mean there would be a 400 volt difference between the ground and a point 2 meters above the ground. That's about a 400 volt difference between our head and our toes when we step outside.

Explanation:

Generally for every one meter increase in the height from sea level, the electric potential difference from ground increases by 100V per meter. If we take a normal human height as 2 meters., there should be a potential difference of 200V between the toe and head.

However, compared the the air, human body has relatively less resistance. For e.g. Air resistance is around 1.3*10^16 to 3.3*10^16 . on the other hand Human body has a resistance of 1000 ohms to 100,000 ohms depending on how wet or dry the body is.

Relatively if you compare Air and Human body resistance, Human body is like short circuited. There is small or relatively no potential difference between toe to head of a human. That small amount is different in different places.

hope it helps you dear ☺️
