Consider two resistors of resistances R1 and R2 connected in series and the combination is connected across a battery of Volt.

Let V1➝ Voltage across R1

V2➝Voltage across R2

I➝ Current flowing through the circuit and Rt is the total resistance Of circuit .

By using Ohm's Law

Ꮖ =  \frac{Ꮩ}{Ꭱt}  \\  \\ ⟹Ꮖ =  \frac{Ꮩ}{Ꭱ1 + Ꭱ2}

Similarly:

Ꮩ1 = Ꮖ \times Ꭱ1 \\  \\⟹ Ꮩ1 =  \frac{Ꮩ \times Ꭱ1}{Ꭱ 1+ Ꭱ2}

ᴀʟនᴏ \\ Ꮩ2 = Ꮖ \times Ꭱ2 \\  \\ ⟹Ꮩ2 =  \frac{Ꮩ \times Ꭱ2}{Ꭱ1 + Ꭱ2}
