If A be the area of cylinder base, then A = π(36)²/4 = 324π

Initial volume of water, V₁ = 22(324π)

Final volume of water, V₂ = h(324π)

Volume of water displaced = Volume of cuboid

(324π)h - 22( 324π) = 22 x 18 x18

Therefore, h= 22(1+π)/π = 29

Rise in water level = 29–22 =7

Ans: 7 cm
