We know that for an ideal gas, when the temperature is constant, Pressure exerted by the gas is inversely proportional to the volume. Here, pressure exerted by the gas is balanced by the pressure exerted by the object, which again is proportional to it's mass.

So we can say that the volume of the gas is inversely proportional to the mass of the object.

When mass = 5 kg

Volume = constant / 5kg (1)

When mass = 20kg

New volume = constant / 20kg (2)

Comparing eq.(1) with (2)

i.e. New volume = old volume / 4 = 4/4 = 1L
