Given :- what is the volume of hemisphere when a sphere is 64 cm³ is melted ?

Solution :-

we know that, when a solid is melted and recast into another solid ,

  • They volume remains same .
  • Volume of sphere = (4/3) * π * (radius)³
  • Volume of hemisphere = (2/3) * π * (radius)³

so,

→ Volume of hemisphere = Volume of sphere

→ Volume of hemisphere = 64 cm³ (Ans.)

Therefore, Volume of hemisphere is same as volume of sphere which is 64 cm³ .
