according to the question, the rod is of cylinder shape.

height of cylinder = 70 cm

radius of cylinder = diameter/2 = 2.1/2 = 21/20

volume of cylinder = volume of iron

volume of cylinder = pi x (radius)square x height of cylinder

volume of cylinder = 22/7 x 21/20 x 21/20 x 70

volume of cylinder = (11 x 21 x 21) / 20

volume of cylinder = 4851 / 20

volume of cylinder = 242.55 cubic cm.

Hence, the volume of iron is 242.55 cubic cm.
