The wavelength of electromagnetic radiation ranges from less than 10^-12 m to about 10^3 m.

The Electromagnetic spectrum can be categorized as( starting from the lowest):

1. Gamma rays- <10^-12 nm

2.X-rays- <10 nm

3. Ultraviolet rays- 10nm to 400nm

4.Visible light- 400nm to 750nm

5.Infrared rays- 750 nm to 1 mm

6. Microwaves - 1mm to 30cm

7. Radiowaves- > 30cm

The gamma rays have the shortest wavelength, lowest frequency and the highest energy whereas radiowaves have the highest wavelength, highest frequency and the lowest energy.
