The constitution of India safeguard the principles of secularism in India in following ways :

India does not have any official religion..

The constitution howevers ,allows the state to interfere in the religious policies in order to promote equality among the people..

Constitution of India

Secularism as contemplated by the Constitution of India has the following distinguishing features: (1) The State will not identify itself with aor be controlled by any religion;(3) No discrimination will be shown by the state against any person on account of his religion or faith.
