What is the white trail behind a jet plane made from

smartsaloni1503: condensation trails or con trails.
smartsaloni1503: When you exhale, your breath contains a great deal of invisible water vapor as well. You may have noticed that on certain days in the winter, your breath will form a cloud of condensation when you exhale. In the summer, however, you don't see your breath. Cold air can hold a lot less moisture than warm air, so in the winter, when the moisture in your breath hits the cold air, the moisture condenses into a visible cloud

JET PLANES LEAVES white trails because of the hot, humid exhaust from jet engines mixes with the with the atmosphere  which at high altitude is of much lower pressure and temperature than the exhaust gas.the vapour contained in the jet exhaust condenses and may freeze, and this mixing process forms a cloud .
