Initial velocity (u) = 72km/hr = 20m/sec

Final velocity (v) = 108km/hr = 30m/sec

To find:-

Work done

By applying K.E = 1/2mu^2

= 1/2×1500×400

= 300000J.

By applying K.E = 1/2mv^2

= 1/2×1500×900

= 675000J.

Gain in K.E = 1/2mv^2 - 1/2mu^2

= 675000 - 300000

= 375000J.

work done by the car is 375000J.
