The work done by a centripetal force in moving a body on the circumference of the circle is always zero. we know that work done by a force is given as
W = F d Cosθ
where F = force , d = displacement , θ = angle between force and displacement
in case of work done by the centripetal force , the force is towards the center along the radius and the displacement vector is along the tangent to the circle . we know that the angle between the radius and tangent is always 90. hence the angle between centripetal force and displacement is 90
since Cos90 = 0
hence W = 0 in case of centripetal force

Answer:work=diameter ×force
Explanation:this is because the shortest path is through the diameter.
