the work done by gravitational force is zero as it is a centripetal force which is perpendicular
and when the angle between the force applied and displacement is 90° the work done is zero
and when the angle between the force applied and displacement is 90° the work done is zero

The force of gravity around the earth keeps the satellite on their orbit around the earth and do not allow the satellite to move here and there, just like the gravity of the Sun which keeps the other planets in their own axis.
