Basically none at present as it was useful when humans ate plants a lot.

appendix was very useful in earlier times, as earlier people used to eat raw flush of animal which could create further problems in the intestine, but the appendix played a vital role in healing those problems. but now there is no use of appendix , people even remove it by operation.
