Hey there,
Red blood cells(RBCs) or erythrocytes is a type of blood corpuscles present in large amount in blood.
Formation of RBCs is called ERYTHROPOESIS.
It is biconcave in shape and lack nucleus and cell organelles.
Each RBC has approximately 260000000-270000000 haemoglobin particles which is a red pigment.
=====================================================
Haemoglobin combines with oxygen to form oxyhaemoglobin and transport oxygen.
Haemoglobin combine with carbon dioxide to form carboxyhaemoglobin which transport carbon dioxide.
It also transport sap, waste and metabolic products.
