weight is a force and so

F=weight=mass *acceleration due to gravity

=1000*10=10000N

S=?

To find s,

F= ma

a=F/m=10000/10

a=10m/s²

Using Newton's third eqn of motion

v²= u²+2as

30²= 20²+2*10*s

900–400=20s

500=20s

s=500/20= 25m

Work =F*s

Work=10000*25

Work= 250000J or 250KJ
