What is the work to be done to increase the velocity of a car30 km/hr to 60km/ hr if the mass of the car is 1500kg.

Work = change in kinetic energy

= 0.5 m ( v^2 - u^2 )

= 0.5 × 1500 kg × [ ( 60 × 5/18 m/s ) ^2 - ( 30 × 5/18 m/s ) ]

= 156250 Joules

= 156.25 KJ

= Work done is 156.25 KJ
