Prerequisite knowledge:

Work done is same as change in kinetic energy

K.E = (mv^2)/2

1 m/s = 3.6 kmph

Solution:

40 kmph = 400/36 m/s

80 kmph = 800/36 m/s

initial K.E = 1500 * 1600 / 2592

final K.E = 1500 * 6400 / 2592

difference = 1500 * 4800 / 2592 = 2777.77778 J

Hope it helps
