The work done in this case is equal to zero.This is because accc to the definition of work done....

W=F.S(NOTE THAT IT IS NOT FORCE MULTIPLIED BY DISPLACEMENT BUT FORCE DOT DISPLACEMENT)
so this again can also be written as

W=FSCOSTHETA(where theta is the angle between the direction of  dispalcement of the person and the the direction of force applied by him on the suitcase.)

As in this case the man is travelling horizontally,we can assume the direction of dispalcement along the positive x-axis .A llso the force applied by him on the suitcase is int the upward direction.Let this direction of force be represented along the positive y axis.As the angle between them is 90,and as we kow that cos 90=0.Hence the work done by him will also be zero.

W=FSCOS90=FS(0)=0

london2023: here as u can see from the diagram given above,the force line of dispalcement is perpendicular to the force line of the force applied by the person the suitcase.Hence,the work done,as seen from he point of view of physics,will always be zero.
london2023: Hope it helps u my dear frnd.Bye and take care.Have a nice day ahead.

In this case work done= 0 as work done is equals to f.s.costheeta and in this case theeta is equal to 90 and we know that the value of cos90 is 0 so anything multiplied by 0 is 0 so workdone in this case is 0
