The water flow on a river is collected in a high rise dam, constructed on the river.It obstruct the flow of water and collect water in large reservoirs.
In this way the kinetic energy of water is used as to rotate turbine which is connected to the electrical generator and the armature of the generator .it rotates rapidly and generate electricity.
