What is the y-intercept of the line passing through the origin? Also, write down the equation of the line bisecting the angle between the axes.

The equation of a line in slope-intercept form is y = mx + c

The angle between the axes is π/2. Since the line bisects the angle between the axes it makes π/4 with x-axis. So, m = tan π/4 = 1

Since the line passes through the origin c= 0.

Hence, the equation of the straight line which passes through the origin and bisects the angle between the axes is y = x
