Hello...

_________________________________________

Speed is distance traveled per unit of time.A higher speed means an object is moving faster. Speed is the scalar quantity. It doesn't have a direction.

For example of scalar quantity "5 metres per second" is a scalar if we say " 5 mtr per east" is a vector quantity.

Speed is defined as the distance travelled by any object divided by the time it takes to travel that distance.
Formula,
Speed = distance/time.
Eg: let a car travel a distance of 1000m in 10 sec therefore,
Speed of car = 1000/10
Speed = 100 m/s (ans)

Hope it helps you.
Thank you.
