All parts of the brain are important however some say that Amygdala which controls fears, emotions, feelings is the most important part. The cerebrum which is used for remembering, thinking and for solving problems is also considered important. Other important parts include cerebellum, brain stem, medulla oblangata, etc. Hope, it helps.....
