Bhagwad Gita in short can be called as Gitopnishad as mentioned in the first line of the introduction after invocation prayers of Bhagwad Gita As It Is.
Bhagwad Gita As It Is is a detailed commentary written by Shrila Abhay Charan Bhaktivedant Swami Prabhupad.
Read the paragraph attached.
Bhagwad Gita talks of five main things: Bhagwan, Jiva, Kaal, Prakruti and Karma.
On the battlefield, when Arjuna refuses to Lord Krishna for fighting with his brothers, Krishna gives him the sacred knowledge of transmigration and Law of Karma. At last he concluded by saying 'Sarva dharman paritrajya mam ekam sharnam vraja....... ....ma suchah'
which means that without any fear we should surrender ourselves to Lord Krishna and he will protect us.
Thank you.
