The seagull lives his life unable to fly because of fear and lack of motivation to fly. Its parents tried but in vain. However, its mother comes with a solution which triggers his need to fly and he notices he can fly. On the other side, the pilot is motivated by the imaginary black Airplane and ends up landing safely. If the pilot and the seagull never found motivation probably, he would not have a way and hence a safe landing and the seagull would have lived its whole life unable to fly respectively.
