in the chapter there is a very studious,well mannered and excellent child.his father is a very famous  boxer,aka 'young porky'.but this is kept as a secret from Harold.the reason for this is that in those days,boxers were considered to be aggressive.but,towards the end Harold comes to know about his father's secret.
