The chemical reaction which was initiated using supply of heat energy from outside is called as thermal reaction. Example: Combustion of wood, petrol, kerosene Decomposition of Calcium carbonate was initiated by supply of heat eneregy. During this reaction Calcium oxide and Cabon dioxide (CO2)are formed. CaCO3 + (Heat energy) → CaO + CO2
