Thermoplastic have a melting temperature.
Thermoplastic materials can be melted and reformed several times, eventually they might degrade; however, once molded, thermosets cannot be reformed.
Polyolefins, PET, Polyamides are all thermoplastics.

Thermosetting plastic react when heated to form a cross-linked structure and don’t exhibit melting.
Phenol formaldehyde, Urea formaldehyde, Epoxies, Unsaturated Polyester resins, etc. all are thermosetting plastic.
