answer

It is the most heat sensitive resistor made from alloys and also from semiconductors whose resistance varies appreciably with the rise in temperature.

Temperature co-efficient of resistance may be positive or negative depending upon its construction. If tem increase with the rise in temperature and if the temperature co-efficient is negative, its resistance will decrease with rise in temperature.

Hope it helps ☺️

➡️ Thermistor

A thermistor is a type of resistor whose resistance is dependent on temperature, more so than in standard resistors. The word is a portmanteau of thermal and resistor. Thermistors are widely used as inrush current limiters, temperature sensors (negative temperature coefficient or NTC type typically), self-resetting overcurrent protectors, and self-regulating heating elements (positive temperature coefficient or PTC type typically).
