Hey mate.. ♥

The branch of physical science that deals with the relations between heat and other forms of energy (such as mechanical, electrical, or chemical energy), and, by extension, of the relationships between all forms of energy.

Heat and work are two different ways of transferring energy from one system to another.

The the distinction between Heat and Work is importantin the field of thermodynamics.

Heat is the transfer of thermal energy between systems, while work is thetransfer of mechanical energy between two systems.

Hope it helps... ♥

Answer

⚫Thermodynamics

◾Thermodynamics is a branch of Physics which deals with the interconversion of heat and other forms of energy.

⚫The difference between heat and work are :

◾In the case of heat, transfer of energy between the system and the surrounding is due to their difference of temperature.

◾In the case of work, transfer of energy between the system and the surrounding does not depend on the temperature.

◾Eg: An enclosed gas can be compressed or expanded by operating the piston.
