hey mate...

A A thermometer is a device that measures temperature or a temperature gradient. A thermometer has two important elements: a temperature sensor (e.g. the bulb of a mercury-in-glass thermometer or the pyrometric sensor in an infrared thermometer) in which some change occurs with a change in temperature; and some means of converting this change into a numerical value (e.g. the visible scale that is marked on a mercury-in-glass thermometer or the digital readout on an infrared model). Thermometers are widely used in technology and industry to monitor processes, in meteorology, in medicine, and in scientific research.

hope it helps uh

A clinical thermometer is used to measure our body temperature by a doctor or at home.

It has a temperature scale marked from 35 degrees Celsius to 42 degrees Celsius.

2. Laboratory thermometer - A laboratory thermometer is used for measuring the temperature in science laboratory.

The range of laboratory thermometer is generally from -10 degrees Celsius to 110 degrees Celsius.

3. Digital thermometer - A digital thermometer is also used for measuring human body temperature.

It shows the temperature in digital form. In present it is in long use.

4. Maximum and Minimum thermometer - There is a special thermometer known as maximum and minimum thermometer which automatically record the maximum and minimum temperature of the day.

The maximum and minimum temperature of the previous day reported in weather reports in T. V and newspaper are measured by the Maximum and Minimum thermometer.
