what is thermosetting plastic?

It's a kind of plastic which can't be remolded ,fire resistant and used for making utensils,switches etc. They can't be reused and heat resisted also and can't be reshaped.ex.-Melamine,bakelite etc.

THERMOSETTING PLASTICS :-

THESE ARE THE POLYMERS WHICH UNDERGO PERMANENT CHANGE ON HEATING .ON HEATING THEY UNDERGO EXTENSIVE CROSS LINKING IN MOULDS AND BECOME HARD AND INFUSIBLE THEREFORE ,THEY CAN NOT BE REUSED.
