Answer:
A thermosetting polymer, resin, or plastic, often called a thermoset, is a polymer that is irreversibly hardened by curing from a soft solid or viscous liquid prepolymer or resin. Curing is induced by heat or suitable radiation and may be promoted by high pressure, or mixing with a catalyst.

✨ What is thermosetting plastic ?
☕ Thermosetting plastics are made up from long chains of molecules that are cross-linked. They have a very rigid structure.
☕ Once heated, thermosetting plastics can be moulded, shaped and pressed into shapes. Once set they cannot be reheated since they are permanently set.
NOTE ;-
- Thermosetting plastics are synthesized by condensation polymerization.
- Thermosetting Plastic is processed by compression moulding, reaction injection moulding.
- Thermosetting plastics have primary bonds between molecular chains and held together by strong cross-links.
- Thermosetting plastics have high melting points and tensile strength.
- Thermosetting Plastic is high in molecular weight.
EXAMPLES ;-
╰➝ Vulcanized rubber
╰➝ Bakelite
╰➝ Polyurethane
╰➝ Epoxy resin
╰➝ Vinyl ester resin
