Hey there frnd I can give a bit of ruff information bout this So... This thing is basically suppose to help us in digesting raw food but nowadays it isn't much of important as we humans nowadays eat much of cooked food and if during some surgery it gets infected or something then it can be removed also as it isn't necessary and according to concepts it may even dissaper due to evolution like tails.
