In 1904, Thomson proposed atomic model where electrons are embedded within spherically distributed, positive charge (so-called "plum pudding" model). Both the positive charge and the mass of the atom would be more or less uniformly distributed over its size.

*The modern atomic model is sometimes called the electron cloud, or quantum mechanics model.

*Thomson atomic model was proposed by William Thomson in the year 1900.

*This model explained the description of an inner structure of the atom theoretically.

*It was strongly supported by Sir Joseph Thomson, who had discovered the electron earlier.
