Thyroid gland is the biggest gland in neck and one of the largest endocrine glands in the body.This gland stores the hormones that help to regulate heart rate,body temperature and the rate in which food is converted into energy. It is located at the lower part of neck below Adam's apple, It has a shape like of a butterfly to lobes attached at the middle part called isthmus.
