tidal \: volume

Tidal volume is the amount of air that moves in or out of the lungs with each respiratory cycle.

reserve \: volume

it is the volume of air that cannot be expelled, thus causing the alveoli to remain open at all times. The residual volume remains unchanged regardless of the lung volume at which expiration was started.

Vital Capacity: The amount of gas inhaled from FRC to total lung capacity. Inspiratory Reserve Volume: The amount of gas inhaled from peak normal inspiratory volume to total lung capacity. Tidal Volume: The volume of a normal inspiration.
