Time is a fourth dimension to see the world. It was thought earlier that time is constant everywhere but time changes with Space.
This is the reason why astronaut who goes to the Space doesn't get old. Maybe this sounds unusual but the star which you are seeing may be dead millions of years ago but it's light is reaching our earth after a period.
